Terrestrial Laser Scanner or terrestrial LiDAR (light detection and ranging) was used to scan the dome roof construction on site. 3D model obtained from the scanning process was then compared to the original 3D design to measure the displacement in every point. The analysis result depicted how accurate the roof panel installation was. This was helpful for the contractor and building envelope consultant to do evaluation and future development of design, fabrication, and construction.
